SNaHP Summit 2024

Every fall we bring together hundreds of medical students from across the country for learning, strategizing and fellowship.  This year the SNaHP Summit will take place on November 15 in Chicago, alongside the PNHP Annual Meeting on November 16th.  The SNaHP Summit will be a half day in-person meeting designed for:

  • Members of SNaHP;
  • Dues paying PNHP medical residents or fellows;
  • Medical students, health professional students, or residents who want to learn more about Medicare for All; and
  • Student activists who are committed to single payer and eager to engage in health justice organizing and advocacy.

We will open the SNaHP summit with lunch, followed by afternoon workshops led by SNaHP members. PNHP and SNaHP members will be gathering together to build collective power, to connect and to learn from each other. You will gain valuable skills at workshops, make lifelong relationships with medical students and physicians from across the country, and go home to grow the number of SNaHP members working on our side for Improved Medicare for All.

The SNaHP Summit is tailored for fierce advocates who are ready to build power together and advance a hopeful, visionary health justice agenda. So mark your calendar for November 15 – 16th.We will leave the summit re-energized and recommitted to our work back home, knowing that we are in solidarity and community with a growing network of health care justice organizers on the frontline of transformational health care justice change.

Please note that the Annual Meeting and Leadership Training registration fee is not waived if you receive a scholarship. All applicants must REGISTER HERE for the Annual Meeting at a special discounted rate before they can receive an award from PNHP. Use the DISCOUNT CODE INTRAINING!

SNaHP will provide underrepresented students in medicine an additional small scholarship.  SNaHP is dedicated to increasing the participation and fostering the leadership of women,BIPOC, and LGBTQ persons within SNaHP and the broader medical community.  The definition of underrepresented in medicine means those racial and ethnic populations that are underrepresented in the medical profession relative to their numbers in the general population. Here is the AAMC’s definition of underrepresented in medicine.

Scholarship applications are due September 10, 2024, so fill out your application today—and don’t forget to forward this email to all SNaHP members that you know.

We hope you will join us!
